Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc (New Zealand) -- similar price to Oyster Bay if you are at Costco, and much better IMO!
Esporao (Portugal)
La Crema Chardonnay (California)
Ferrari Carano Fume Blanc (California)
Southern Right Sauvignon Blanc (South Africa)
Almost any Sauvignon Blanc from Sancerre AOC (France)
And I tend to like Gruner Veltliner, which is a grape from Germany, but I don't know a vineyard offhand

I like Vinho Verde vs traditional white wines.

Also love Moscatos in any flavor! Light, sweet, perfect to drink for someone that doesn't really like drinking haha!

My absolute favorite white wines are Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio and Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc. KC is only like $12 at Costco, although it's usually $18 at supermarkets. Not only are they both delicious but you will never get a headache or a hangover, no matter how much you pour :silly:

Do you know anything about what she regularly drinks? i.e., does she like sweet white?

Another vote here for Oyster Bay or a sauv blanc. I don't like sweet whites or reds or oaky chards, though, and I know a lot of people do.

Ferrari Carrano Fume Blanc is about $12 a bottle and is really light and delicious. Its a great wine for most white wine drinkers because not everyone likes an oaky chardonnay or something super sweet.

Granted, its colder out, so a slightly heavier white wine might be good for the season. I'm not really a Chardonnay drinker, but I really enjoy Rex Goliath 47 Pound Rooster Chardonnay. Its at Trader Joe's, it costs like $7 a bottle. Its aged in steel so its not this huge oak bomb, but its substantial enough to work well with warm fall and winter dishes. Its a great pairing with roast chicken and butternut squash!

What's your price range?

So... it sounds weird, but we LOVE Lindeman's Chardonnay. It has a great flavor that you find in much more expensive wines, but it only costs about $5/bottle. The other whites we go for are Chateau Ste. Michelle.

Cupcake - Pinot Grigio.. I've gotten it at Costco and Wegmans. Plus its a twist off (to me that's a plus b/c I am terrible at taking out corks and it makes it easier to store.)

Also, Vinho Verde - most brands are good. It's a little bubbly and very mild. And reasonable priced!
