DS is 18 months old and I'm sick of condoms, birth control pills, and worrying about getting pregnant. My old insurance didn't cover the Mirena or pills, so I was only on the pills for a few months when my dr gave me a bunch of sample packs. After that it was a piece of cake. The day I got it in I was already dreading the day I would get it removed! The pain was well worth it and I absolutely loved having it. I never had to think about it and my periods were lighter also. Most said it was uncomfortable but not that big a deal. One, who had already had a baby, said it was almost as bad as labor! I guess it depends and you were just unlucky :( On the plus side, you don't have to worry about birth control for 5 years now!
