I bought the snugride 30 forecaster, and I didn't like how the handle felt if I held it anywhere other than the exact middle.
I returned it and bought a chicco.

@Mrsbells: Thanks - I know that kids always reach the height limitation on car seats way before the weight limit so I'm not concerned about that.

@ladyfingers: You should get the regular one (22lbs) I also debated this issue. my baby is only 16lbs now and is already outgrowing her seat in terms of height. I am 100% certain that you wont use it until your child is 22lbs. the strap adjustments being on the back arent that big a deal but I agree that fabric is annoyin in the heat

We had the Snugride 30 and used it with the City Mini adapter and it worked for us. All of the in/out, daily adjustments were made in the front, but to move the straps when he got bigger, you have to go to the back. I have since moved him to a convertible seat for my car, but the nanny still uses the Snugride.
It was a good infant seat, easy to carry, did not feel like there were any "breathing" issues with the fabric (we are in CA).

My friend used the Snugride 30. She loved it. No complaints. Since her son only used it for 4 months, we are actually borrowing it so we don't have to buy one.

We have the snugride 30 also. E is 6 months old now and I love our carseat. It's not super heavy and fits well in my small car. It also tightens in the front, which I LOVE! I don't know how it fits in other strollers since ours was part of a graco travel system, but it fits wonderfully in the accompanying stroller. Also it fits into the snugride 35 bases if you need an extra base for a second car.

Not all of the 22s have strap adjustments on the back (but many do & I agree that those are a serious PITA!) so if bulk is an issue, you could go with a the 22 with the front pull strap adjustment. Or I think the 30 is a bit smaller/lighter than the 32/35.

We just ordered (and recieved!) the snugride 30 and I love it. Its lightweight and not bulky at all!

But, our baby isn't here yet so I can't give a TRUE review! Oh, it does adjust in the front! Here's the one we got

So this is only going to be moderately helpful, but, we had a snugride (can't remember which one tho) with our older daughter. It was great, and we used it with a Baby Jogger stroller (the city elite I think), and I really loved the way that it clipped in with the adapter. That being said, we have a Peg Primo Viaggio with our younger daughter and I much prefer it as a car seat. It is more substantial, has a better design and is far easier to use. But it sucks in the stroller!
So there you go. Also, the Peg is larger in the car--which is what had us pick the Graco the first time around!

I have a friend that uses a Snugride with her City Mini! I don't know what model it is, but she loves both of them.

I'm confused. We know we want to get a Graco Snugride, and I've had the Snugride 35 on my registry forever. We went to go buy it this weekend and I read through the reviews on Amazon, and everybody said it's so heavy and bulky and doesn't fit well into strollers even with adapters (I want the City Mini so we'd be using an adapter when not baby carrying) or even anywhere else. But the regular Snugrides (weight capacity 22) get bad reviews for the strap adjustment being on the back. And then there are intermittent people saying that the material on all of them are awful and not breathable and baby sweats all the time. Which is bad, because we live in Florida.

So, do you/did you have a Graco Snugride infant car seat, and if so, which one? Do you hate it? Love it? I feel like I'm stuck right back at square one on the car seat issue.
