We have this... I'm going to disagree with the PP's that say they don't mind the 22lb weight limit. DD is almost 20lbs at 5mths so now we are in a predicament of whether to switch to convertible seat in the middle of our freezing Canadian winter or buying another infant seat with a higher weight limit. If I could do it over I would get a seat with a higher weight limit.
But, maybe your baby won't be a ginormasaurus and you will be fine with the 22lb limit :-) its a great seat, otherwise!

@runnerd: Same as mentioned above. Only when LO got too big and tall did it get really heavy. By that point, we switched to a convertible car seat.

@runnerd: I didn't find it to be too heavy until just recently, but my baby is a chunk and weighs 14 pounds at 4 months and I don't have a lot of upper body strength. The seat itself weighs 7.5 pounds, which is very light.

I have the SnugRide 35 click connect and we love it. I was the crazy lady petting all the car seats and this was the one that was softest. I considered the KeyFit, but it wouldn't fit in my car.

This was our infant car seat for DS and it served us well! No complaints. We bought our son a more expensive/fancier convertible car seat but I agree with you on the infant ones -- as long as they are safe, I don't see the need to spend a lot on a car seat that they will outgrow quickly. DS moved to his convertible at 5 months and is happy as a clam in it. :)

I agree that the 22lbs limit is fine - I was done with lugging around the seat when DS was 8 months, 18 lbs and bought a convertible. Like @LemonLong: I would invest in the model with the tightening strap in the front though - that's a big deal IMO.

For just a bit more you can get this one. Looks like the one you posted has the strap adjustment in the back which would be really annoying.

No complaints about my Graco Snugride click connect 30. We usually use it with the base in the car because it's easier but we've also used it without once and we had no problems. I like the stroller that goes with it because it has enough storage space on the bottom for the diaper bag and a carrier. It also folds with one hand which is huge.

We had a snugride classic 32. It was a hand me down from my brothers two kids, so it went through 3 kids! It worked great. We ended up having to get a new one for our next baby because our old one expired. We ended up going with the Snugride again. We got a click connect one though since they didn't have classics. It was $84 at BabyRUs in their clearance section, in the back of the store.

That's what I have and it's fine. Honestly, I did zero research on it-- my sister gave me hers and I took it! She chose it because her stroller only worked with a handful of carseats and this was the lightest weight one. I have nothing to compare it to but it works for us, seems about as easy to use as any other. The weight limit is a bit lower than some other seats but everything I read says most babies outgrow by length faster anyway, and once you get past 20 pounds, you aren't wanting to carry a baby in the seat anyway.

ok at first I thought I had to have chicco keyfit bc that's what everyone raves about, and friends have recommended, but after thinking about it, I'm not comfortable spending $200 on infant car seat as long as what I get is up to safety standards. also I want something light and easy to use. is the graco snugride classic a good option? do you recommend a diff system (or diff snugride model) if I want something close to $100 mark for infant car seat?
