Interesting! Babycenter has 36w. I'm already being monitored and know 38w induction is on the table. Mostly just wondering if others had this and what their outcomes were, if it impacted early delivery.

As far as I know, it's normal to have a grade 2 placenta after 30 weeks - I did a quick search and found this: https://radiopaedia.org/articles/placental-grading. Those are similar to the grades we got on a handout from our OB (which I apparently threw away at some point.)

Anyway, if you're worried, you can ask your doctor specifically about placenta grade and they should be able to reassure you. But I know what you mean, I was unexpectedly induced with DS1 at 38 weeks and it was quite a surprise!

From what I can recall I thought grade 2 is 30+ and grade 3 is like 38-39. I would ask your doctor what their guidelines are and if that’s falling within normal or not

I thought grade 2 is normal past 30 weeks? Did they say something to you that you should be concerned about?

Just found out today that at my scan last week I was graded 2. We're already being monitored for possible IUGR and will continue to have weekly BPPs with MFM and biweekly checkins with my OB, which we've been doing for a month now. She's doing great in all her tests, which is reassuring. Until now I've just thought maybe she's going to be "constitutionally small" as my OB would say, and my MFM doc had already said we'll talk about staying pregnant or not at 38 weeks. We were already wrapping our minds around 38 weeks and now I'm just hoping we make it that far! With such extensive monitoring, I feel OK that we'd catch anything before it could go wrong. And I know this doesn't necessarily mean anything, but it really hits that she could be here much sooner that we thought. I'm 33 weeks tomorrow! Anyone else go through or know anyone who had this happen?
