We're enrolling LO1 in part time daycare before LO2 gets here. If he's sick or I have to pick up an extra shift then she may have both on some days but I'm anticipating lots of screen time on those days.

My mom is planning on both two days a week and just the baby on a third day. We shall see how that works out.

My mom watched both boys for about a month. We put DS1 in fulltime daycare/preschool when he turned two. But my mom picks him up at 2:30 so it's not a full day. She has both boys until I get home from work. She also has both if DS1 is sick.

We kept DD1 in daycare full time to keep her schedule the same. There were days when I would pick her up early or drop her off late but it was better for her (and me) if she continued to go... especially since we were in the process of moving when DD2 was only a few weeks old.

We are moving and I am going to SAH, but right now we do part-time daycare and part-time Grandma care. If we had kept up that arrangement and had another, we would have put LO #1 in full-time daycare/preschool and only had my mom watch LO #2.

We didn't have grandmacare with #1 but we did with #2 - Older DS was in DCP FT though - my MIL could have never handled a toddler and a NB.

DD was already enrolled in preschool by the time we had DS, so we had grandmacare again for the first 16 months of DS's life before enrolling him in preschool too. So she was only watching each of them one at a time - she def wouldn't have been able to handle a toddler + infant at once though I know some grandma's that have that kinda stamina!

How did your childcare change, if at all, when you had more than one LO?

DS2 is due to arrive in less than 4 weeks! :O I will be on leave until the end of the year. We plan on enrolling DS1 in part-time preschool in September! He'll go to full-time once I go back to work.

I'm working more remotely now than I did with DS1 and hopefully between that and DS1's preschool schedule, caring for DS2 won't be too much more work for my mom.
