I'm pretty sure my 4 yr old has a few. I started noticing my grays at 11 and have been coloring my hair since 16. My dad's whole side was basically white haired by their early 20s.

My daughter has a few white hairs that first appeared by six months old. They are pretty obvious since her hair is brown. Hers are not in a patch; they're just randomly located.

I have two random streaks I've had forever. I was always told it was a type of birth mark but who knows! It's not deadly cancer though unlike whatever I'm sure dr Google will tell you  .

My almost 4 year old has a few random ones every now and then. I never really thought much about it.

It's possible that she may have a mole or freckle there and the hairs growing out of there are white. I know several people with moles or birthmarks on their scalp and have white patches of hair growing out of them.

I had a friend who had tons of grays in 6th grade. It was hereditary somehow.. no health issue.

One of my brothers also has a patch of grey in his hair. It's about the size of a quarter and showed up when he was in elementary school.

My brother has a very small patch of whiter hair (he's blond, so I wouldn't call it grey). The follicles there are just tuned a little different than the rest (like parts of your hair being curlier than others). I wouldn't worry about it.
