I was wrong. Now that have 3, I avoid going to the store with them unless DH comes (and even then, we both get stressed). So I usually go with my younger 2 while my oldest is at school. Again, stores with 2 is doable...stores with 3 makes me want to cry a little, haha.</p> <p>My 3 year old walks while my 1 year old sits in the cart and we talk the whole time. Now DS rides in the big part of the cart and DD in the front. My son is usually fine in store but DD now gets antsy. I don't like to take them shopping. When DD2 was an infant, I'd wear her and put DD1 in the trolley. Now that they're older, DD1 (3 yrs) either walks or sits in the main part of the trolley, and DD2 (20 months) sits in the proper seat of the trolley. They're usually really fun to take around but the hard part is when it comes time to check out - DD1 loves putting our groceries on the conveyor, whilst DD2 tries to take everything off! We also bag our own groceries (the norm here in the UK), so trying to bag everything up and keep two LOs from demolishing everything whilst I do so is usually the worst part! They just bebop along and are mostly okay.<br /> Secondly, I just wear baby sister and let my 2 year old use her paci if she asks (which is embarrassing but she's happy so whatever, whoever is looking and judging can suck it :wink: ). I've also started going twice a week instead of once because the trips are shorter. And I go.to the closet store even though it's not my preferred place to shop. I have always hated grocery shopping. It puts me in a horrendous mood. That being said, it's really not too bad bringing them along. If it's a small trip, DS1 (3.5) will sit in the big part of the basket and the baby (10m) in the seat. If we are at a grocery store that has a double carriage I use that. When the baby was too little for the seat, I wore him in the bjorn or ergo. But if I have to take both kids shopping, DS helps pick out the produce and carries a small bag. And the whole time I'm on high alert in case one of them decides to melt down. I wear the baby and big sister rides in the cart. The baby loves being worn as long as we are moving so we just need sister to pick things out without taking too long. It was harder at first but we are getting the hang of it.</p> <p>I do try to go with just one but that was not an option this weekend. </p>
