I will call them Monday morning when their offices open. I'm really disappointed in the company, especially because I exclusively bought their purees to feed to LO because I trusted the brand. Thanks everyone.

@Kemma: My LO is 9 months and I started feeding her formula a couple of months ago. If she were a newborn and this had happened, I would really be freaking out!

I'm not sure what age your LO is, but that's a pretty big process failure especially if it's a formula designed for newborns or infants! I'd definitely call or email the company so they can at least look into it.

Yuck! I would call and see if they will help you out. Most companies stand behind their product and they should make it right with you.

Take pictures, call (or email with attached photos) thcompanyny and after you hear back from them depending on if the ask for the can or not, return it to the store.

ETA: We didn't us formula, but I did find straight pins in cloth diapers from a manufacture that claimed to be pin free. Had I not doubled checked the diapers prior to use they would have gone into LO's thigh! I took pictures and emailed the company. They apologized and sent free diapers. One of the things my LO has taught me is to not be afraid to contact a company. They are usually more then willing to resolve any issues!

This morning I opened up a new tub of formula (Earth's Best). When I was scooping the formula out, I saw a 1 cm black hair sticking out of the powder, and I know it wasn't mine! To be totally honest, I just picked it out and threw that scoop away.

This afternoon I was scooping more formula, and there was a long white-ish piece of lint or something resembling lint (probably 1 1/2 inches) sticking out of the powder, and again I'm sure it didn't come from me. WTH? Should I contact the company and let them know? Has anyone else experienced something similar with any formula?
