They wanted to keep us longer because it's their policy to keep first time moms for 2 nights, but it wasn't related to gbs. I would have left sooner but they took forever to discharge me even though I was cleared. I had a strain of GBS that was resistant to some antibiotics and I have a bad reaction to amoxicillin so the medicine they gave me could only be given every 12 hours.
