On the one hand, keeping them short is easier for lots of hair styles, but it's also more upkeep with frequent trims (although my sister is a hairstylist on mat leave so I can get them done whenever). On the other hand, it would be easier to pin her hair back for daycare without having to do much to it if I grew them.
