He's a total nerd engineer so his explanations were waaay over my head. </p> <p>Other than that, no. My parents were very against the kind of over-involvement (ie. doing homework for their kids) that a lot of other parents went in for. I really appreciate it and I'll have the same approach with my LO. I guess with math somewhat in elementary school, but I was sort of advanced in math by the time I was in 5th grade and it wasn't stuff my parents knew at that point. I remember they helped me build a volcano in 4th grade. But other than that I think I was on my own. I will always be available if my kid(s) have questions, and I'll especially help with process-type stuff (like how I research and organize papers). But I don't want to fall into the trap of "us" doing THEIR homework every night. My parents were all over homework. My dad especially would sit with me and do it to make sure the answers were correct. My mom usually showed up during test time to quiz me.
