My LO had a few days like this right at 5.5 weeks...I know wonder weeks are supposed to go by due date, but S was 10 days early, and as far as I can tell they are happening closer to her actual birthday.

Hang in there! I posted a thread on this because I was pretty sure C was going to cause me to have a nervous breakdown. Weeks 5 and 6 are the peak of fussiness, and it starts going down after that. Those weeks were hell for us - screaming, fussing, wouldn't sleep anywhere but in my arms, and even then for only 15 minutes. Do what you can to survive and keep yourself sane and scrap everything else, like cleaning house etc til he gets over the fuss-bucket phase. It's gone as fast as it comes!

@Pepper: @swedishfish: I'm confused by this, too. B was early but it seems like he went through the 5-week wonder week. He is more alert, more curious, can focus on things farther away, and started smiling and cooing. It says they can start at 4 weeks, but even that doesn't line up with his due date.

@swedishfish: I downloaded the app and it said to enter due date. I was confused so I googled it, and apparently they want you to use due date, even if the baby was early. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me, I wonder if that is right....

My LO couldn't be put down from probably 3-9 weeks. She would just scream. I spent a lot of time bouncing her, it was exhausting!!! She's 14 weeks now and has gotten over that. Hang in there!!!

@rahlyrah: I'm waiting for the wonder week to start! It goes by due date though, so it says I have a week until it starts... but maybe it's starting now. I can't wait til he starts really smiling (not just gas!)

B went through a total clingy/fussy phase right at 5 weeks. Luckily, it only lasted a few days and after it was over he started smiling, cooing, and became really curious and enamored by things. I think it was a combination of growth spurt (he ate constantly) and a wonder week. It lasted about 3 days for him I think,

@swedishfish: Sounds like they're going through similar things! I'm also hoping this doesn't continue tonight... I'd love a solid night of sleep.

R was soooooo fussy last night - wanting to nurse every hour. I'm thinking it's a growth spurt. And I'm praying she's not as fussy tonight.

LO will be 5 weeks on Tueaday, and lately he has been really really fussy and grumpy. For instance, today he is screaming unless he is nursing or sleeping on me. His diapers are clean, he's not too hot or cold.

He has reflux and has been spitting up a lot because he wants to nurse ALL the time. I think he guzzles it down so fast he takes in a lot of air. Not sure if that's contributing to his mood, but yikes. This is hard! I haven't had lunch because I can't put him down or he screams his face off.

Does this sound like a growth spurt? I'm hoping this isn't colic!!
