perhaps it is a growth spurt, or maybe she's teething and prefers the comfort of nursing? who knows with these little guys! i know they say the primary form of nutrition for babies under 1 is breast milk or formula, but i think given she is close to 12 months and she is still getting plenty of breast milk, it doesn't hurt to try upping the solid foods.

My LO will be 10 months on the 12th. She nurses anywhere between 5 to 8 times a day. It's usually 5 times but we have occasions where she nurses more. She has 3 full meals of solids a day and 1 to 2 snacks. Our days usually go like this:
5 am : nurse
7am: up for day, quick nurse
730: 4 ish tablespoons of chopped fruit, 4 oz yo baby yogurt
10: snack (freeze dried fruit, ella's kitchen bar, corn, cheese, etc...) & nurse
12-1230: 1/2 avocado, leftovers or chopped turkey with fruit & veggies
230: nurse
3-430: snack & sometimes nurse
5ish: sometimes nurse
6: dinner (whatever we're having)
7: nurse, then get ready for bed

But the past two days she has been adding a nursing session around 230 am & wanting to nurse about an hour and a half after breakfast & still wanting her snack, plus an extra afternoon nursing session. Is this a growth spurt or should I increase the amount of food she is getting at meal time? Water is served with all meals & snacks & sometimes through the day.
