Do you guys just give up on sleeping in bed? She nurses better in the recliner in te living room than side lying in bed, but then there is no way for me to get back to bed without waking her. I can deal with feeding her all the time in the day. It's the all night that's killing me.

Echoing everyone else - don't do it! I know it's tough but it will get better I promise. M is 6 months and now goes 3+ hours between feeds if I let her. She was a 1-2 hours between nurser for a long time.

I agree with above responses, don't do it! Growth spurts are HARD but it won't last long. Find a good show on Netflix to binge watch and camp out on the couch and nurse, nap and watch tv for a couple of days if you can.

@Foodnerd81: Aww, it is really hard, but it won't last too long. You're doing awesome! Do you have a swing? I could get E to sleep sometimes by swaddling him before I fed him and then transferring to the swing.

Thank you. I know you are right. It's just so tiring.

@kiddosc: we've been bringing her into bed after the second wake up and side lay nursing, which helps, but I can't really sleep while I'm doing it and have a hard time getting comfortable. But at least when she finishes I can just roll away from her, no transfer to the crib or anything to worry about.

@T.H.O.U.: the only way she will nap lately is in my arms. I got lucky today and she let me take my boob out of her mouth and still slept an hour. She's been waking up the instant she touches the crib for naps.

Everyone is correct, all that nursing is signalling your body to make more milk. I remember those days of not being able to relax because I was paranoid that as soon as I closed my eyes, LO would need me. Can you do side lying feeding, so that you can lay down and rest while LO eats.

@Foodnerd81: reminding you that it will pass!! LO is telling your body to gear up and make more milk. I PROMISE it will get easier. So much easier. LO is 11m and nurses 4x a day for a max of 10 minutes each. Never could've imagined that way back when! Hang in there!!

agree with @Adira! your baby is nursing so much bc they are signaling for your body to make more milk, if you supplement and bottle feed- your body will not get the signal it needs to keep up with your baby's increased demand. My LO went through some insane growth spurts, some lasting as long as a week, nursing 24/7. It will pass though! hang in there!

It is a short term situation!

Right now I wouldn't be worried about a freezer stash. If you need to give her a bit extra, use the BM!

Also, those times when my LO used to nap, but I couldn't sleep because I knew she would be back up in like 20 minutes, is a great time to get a quick pump in. Even if you just hook up for 5-10 minutes it will help stimulate production.

Don't do it!!!!!

Your baby is eating a ton to signal your body to make more milk FOR THE FUTURE! If you give her formula now, your body will never make enough!!! <-- this is probably a total exaggeration, but I think you'll only make it harder on yourself to continue to EBF if you give formula now

Growth spurts usually only last a few days! You can do it!!! <3

C is still in this 3 month growth spurt and it is killing me. She's hungry like an hour after eating. I'm so tired. So far she is exclusively breast fed, but I'm wondering if there is a way to extra tank her up so I can get a couple of hours, just temporarily. Or I have a very small stash in the freezer.

Has anyone had any luck with short term supplementation like that? I would rather not introduce formula but at the same time I'm barely making it through the day.

Or if that's a terrible idea for my supply and continuing with EBF, could you just remind me of that?
