At 32 weeks he was still small but was growing. With each pregnancy I had different OB/GYN's, and for two of them it was because I was measuring big. In both cases I had interuterine growth restriction, with my first it was caught around 32 weeks when I went for a "for fun" 3D ultrasound and the tech mentioned my placenta was looking very mature. My second one was monitored with growth ultrasounds from 30 weeks on due to my history of IUGR with the first one.
