For example, when we went on vacation last year, he used his google glass to take photos...we didn't need to bring the camera and we have tons of photos that we wouldn't otherwise have. In general, we stay off of our phones if we're out to dinner, unless one of us thinks of something we want to show the other or something like that. We'll usually check if we get a text, to be sure it's not important, but we don't answer until later.</p> <p>But there are also times when we're tired and not up for a ton of talking. Usually in that case we go somewhere with a tv that will be showing a sports game for DH, and I almost always have a book/ereader with me, or at least a blog I can read on my phone, and we just enjoy having a meal together without any pressure to talk. We don't ignore each other the whole time; usually we talk during commercials or time-outs, or just if we think of something. That's our time to relax. And I often do that while on the ipad. Te don't have any hard and fast rule, but I try to turn off my phone when we're hanging out.
