It doesn't matter how much money you have. When you travel as a working parent, you still miss your kids the same. I have no feelings towards Paltrow good or bad but really think people are blowing her comment way out of proportion. </p> <p>From personal experience, it IS easier to sit at my desk for my day job than it is to travel for work when I have to. She's right. When you're home, you can get stuff done. When you're traveling (or on-set for her) you don't get that option. So then you come home and have to do 5 days worth of chores you missed time doing during the week on the weekend, the only time you get with your family. </p> <p>Sure the experience of an average working and traveling parent is different from a movie stars, but I agree, it IS different. And that's what she said. </p> <p>"I think it's different when you have an office job, because it's routine and, you know, you can do all the stuff in the morning and then you come home in the evening. When you're shooting a movie, they're like, 'We need you to go to Wisconsin for two weeks,' and then you work 14 hours a day and that part of it is very difficult.
