GROSS. I lose my appetite immediately when I find hair and other nastiness in my food (unless it's mine) :)

No way! Ever since I bit into an egg roll that had a CLUMP of hair in it (like it was taken off of a hairbrush) I haven't been able to deal with hair in my food, no matter how hungry I am.

Just happened to me the other day! Got take-out Indian food, and as I opened the plastic container of rice, I saw a strand of black hair sticking on the side of the container. As I pulled, it got longer and longer, coming out of the rice... Shudder. But o was really craving Indian food and ate it anyways :(

I get a little grossed out, but I normally just pick it out and go ahead with eating because the times it has happened to me, they were really short. I have to wonder how many hairs or small bugs I've eaten because i just wasn't paying attention or i just didn't notice it.

@eeh: THAT is extreme and it makes me nauseous just thinking about it!! yuuuuckkk!

Hope you enjoyed your meal!

I was eating at Cracker Barrel a couple years ago and took a bite of mac and cheese and felt something long and unusual. Starting pulling it out of my mouth and it was a hair at least a foot long, I just kept pulling and pulling. The manager happened to see my pulling it out and was mortified and gave us the meal for free as well as cooked me a new meal. Typically I would pull it out of the food, set it aside, and eat around that area but this was actually in my throat!!

If I'm at a resturant I'll make a big stink about it, but for takeout I'll usually eat around it if I'm that hungry.

I just found a long reddish (definitely not mine) hair in my Chipotle burrito bowl that I picked up on my way home. Gross but I'm so hungry and I will pretend I never saw it!

Do you finish "hairy" food?
