Thanks everyone.. I went in to party city and they have tons of options. I didnt really like most of it though, I guess Halloween is just not my thing. I ended up going with the flower girl accessories from the wedding section. evertyhing else looked really cheap & fake to me

Do you have a dollar tree nearby? I voted princess originally, but what about the tooth fairy? The dollar tree sells little wings, which would be easier to keep on her than a tiara. They also sell those little wands - maybe you could cut out a paper tooth to glue to the top of the wand? That would be cute.

What about dressing her in all black, and adding some cat ears and whiskers? Maybe carry a ball of yarn.

Could you just send her in an outfit that is "Halloween" themed? Like, an orange shirt with brown pants and call her a pumpkin? :) ETA: I think if you send her in the dress and even if her accessories don't work out, she will still be a pretty princess!!

I wasnt planning to dress my 18m old LO for halloween but I found out yesterday that her daycare party requires them to have a costume. I dont want her to be the odd girl out so now I'm scrambling to put something together. She has lots of pretty formal dresses tha she wears to church and we recently received a very princess like dress with crystal sash, tulle skirt and lots of sparkles. I am thinking of getting accessories to go with the dress to make her either a princess or a flower girl
If she is a princess I need, gloves tiara and wand and I've seen these online at party city & amazon. The down side of these is that I anticipate it will be hard to keep the tiara on her head and the satin gloves may be annoying too.
On the other hand I could get her a flower girl head wreath and basket and she would be easily recognizable as a flower girl. I think I prefer the flower girl idea because its more practical and comfortable for her but I wonder if thats not a "fun" costume though.

I also think the flower girl outfit will be more unique
