Our hospital used a Halo sleep sack immediately after baby was born instead of receiving blankets and we used one for a couple of weeks. Then we noticed she was starting to get sweaty, wiggled uncomfortably & managed to get her hands free no matter how we positioned her hands. So we used the Aden & Anais line of breathable muslin blankets & it worked better for us.

They were for us. We transitioned to the sleep sack swaddle when LO was just about fine having her arms swaddled. For about two months we swaddled her arms in, then two more months we put her arms out and just velcroed the "wings" around her chest so she still felt the tightness. Once she didn't need that anymore I actually cut the wings off, so now she wears it like an actual sleep sack with just the zipper. It was not hard at all since the wings are only connected in a few spots so there are no holes or anything. Since the sizes run so big she has worn the same two sleep sacks for about 5 months now and I feel like I am definitely getting my money's worth :)

They were for us. We had some at home and one at day care. I think she really like the tightness on her chest when we moved to arms out. Then we slowly did it looser each night. Had no issue moving to a sleep sack then.

We used them during the transition and it worked great. LO loved being swaddled but once she started rolling I wanted her arms out. We used the Halo sleep sack with swaddle with her swaddled just around her chest and her arms were free. She loved it. We used one every night for about a month and now she's able to sleep with just footie pjs. I'm sure you could get away with just 2. They were a necessity for us!

I would say you don't really need them for the transition. It's so hard to know about swaddle weaning, but we waited and waited and then one night put her down without it (she was past 4 months but she never really rolled too much) and she was fine.

They were for us, because we weren't allowed to swaddle her legs but did want to swaddle her arms so these were perfect. We got a lot of use out of them but to be honest, in summer, I probably wouldn't use them because even the cotton ones are quite warm. The good thing is you can still use it even when you stop swaddling because you just wrap the swaddle parts around baby's tummy. So yeah, I would probably take a punt on it!

LO has been swaddled from day 1. We know our swaddling days are almost over though now that she's rolling over more often. I was going to purchase the sleep sack that comes with a swaddle but I'm wondering if it's worth it. Has anyone used one?
