I just discovered Alba Very Emollient lotion. It's hypoallergenic and free of chemicals and fragrance. It's so soft and I always have had dry hands. I love it. I got it at Safeway but I know Target has it too. I was around $15 for a giant 32oz bottle.

I used a Shea butter cream, alaffia baby balm, as my go to cream when my daughter was a newborn. Hand cream, nipple balm, diaper ointment, lip balm, you name it. Safe for baby to ingest, non toxic, low scent. I still use it all the time now.

Coconut oil if you're worried about safety, or California Baby lotion. But I like just plain Nivea, the dark blue one. Either the tub or the pump bottle is good.

How about Lanolin? It's a natural moisturizer and safe for babies. It's greasy, but effective

I use Lush's Helping Hands - apparently it's all natural ingredients.

I can't speak to safety, but you could maybe do some research. This stuff is great.

Kiehl's Ultimate Strength Hand Salve - 5 Oz. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00817BNDW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_bubExbFGM92BP

Otherwise I would maybe look at brands like Honest? I'm not a loyalist but I'm sure they have some kind of cream/lotion.

Another option is to use something heavy like Aquaphor at night and wear moisturizing gloves or plastic gloves. So that way it's taken care of while you sleep and not awake and active with the babies. Then again...you have 1 month old twins so I bet you're still tending to them at night. So maybe this is a solution for later. 😊

I have 1 month old twins and I wash my hands / use diaper cream so many times a day the skin on my right hand is getting really dry & rough

Normally I'd put on a little hand cream but I worried bexcuse the babies sometimes put my hands in their mouth or my hands tough my boobs when we BF.

Any suggestions on safe around baby hand cream?
