Its rough! Usually a combination of things depending on what we have going on: cook earlier in the day, takeout, leftovers, etc. I meal plan while looking at our calendar to account for nights where I won't want to cook or am too busy.

Dealing with this ourselves though we usually only have one person in something at night but DH is usually the coach. If it's just a practice, he goes with the one and I stay back and we do dinner and then reheat for them when they get home. I usually give them a snack before they head out. If it's a game, we all go and it's a snack before the game and it's either pick up something on the way home or I bring something for the one who's not playing to eat there and we all otherwise eat when we get home. Pretty much, I hate it. :)

I used to do a fair number of picnics for stuff like this - I’d make sandwiches or just cheese and crackers, fruit, carrot sticks or cucumber, and some cookies and we’d eat at the field.

This is our second year of having two in little league. Some days I try to make dinner earlier in the day so we can just reheat it when we get home. Other days I will bring sandwiches or burritos. And sometimes it's a pick up a pizza on the way home. If my youngest doesn't have a game at the same time as my oldest, I make sure to pack lots of snacks for him. But... I also run the snack shack so my kids have eaten way more junk than they usually would!

We're entering a new phase in our life where multiple kids are in an activity in the evenings. DS1 (6.5) is playing baseball and DS2 (4) is playing tee ball for the first time and DH is coaching. So, we're going to have evenings where we're running off in different directions and I am dragging DS3 (2.5) along for the ride.

How do you handle evenings like this? Any tips or tricks for dinner? Do you eat on the run? Any quick meal suggestions?
