Worth every penny! I never got great suction when I used a regular bra. I'm all about short cuts, but that one never worked for me. Plus I always dripped milk all over my pumping bra when taking the flanges off, I wouldn't want my regular bras to get wet or messy.

Yes! I noticed that when I didn't use my hands free bra I would slouch a lot more to get a better seal with the flanges.

at first I didn't feel like it was worth it. I pumped when DS was sleeping and hello its easier to hold it instead of fiddling with a bra. Now that he is older it is so worth it. I only pump 3x times a week but I have to entertain him while pumping so it is handy to have hands free to pick up toys for him or play with him.

@ladybee: I feel like a hands free bra is an absolute must have for an exclusive pumper.. It makes my pumping time so much easier and productive. Also, there have been so many times where I had to pick up DD, or walk over to get something and its nice to just disconnect the tube for a few seconds instead of taking it all off..

I'm a WOHM so I pump at LEAST three times a day. Having a hands-free pumping bra is INVALUABLE! I have the Simple Wishes one (like everyone, haha) and I LOVE it.

I plan on exclusively pumping so it sounds like it would be worth my time to pick one up. I have the PISA which isn't hands free but I do like the idea of blow drying my hair while pumping when I go back to work.

I had the simple wishes. I only pumped once a day. It wa not worth it to me. I used it a few times and realized I woul rather not hassle with the extra time it took to put it on. I suspect there are variables like where, when and how often that will make a difference on whether or not it is worth it.

I have the simple wishes and have only used it 2-3 times - Like @grizz, I prefer just to tuck the flanges into my regular bra and sit at the computer.

I should resell mine - if you are anyone else is interested, let me know!

The pumping bras that zip in the front are SO worth it!! I could never get a good fit by shoving them into my nursing bra. I would unclip the bra cups, zip the pumping bra over, and go.

I would be too afraid I'd knock the things out of my nursing bra- I used to pump while blow drying my hair in the morning!

@ladybee: my pumping bra is invaluable to me. My pump doesn't work put into other bras--- I tried and could never get a tight enough seal on the flanges to my boobs, so I would always end up having to hold the, in p,ace anyway, which defeats the purpose.

But I exclusively pump and have a Freestyle, so I frequently cook dinner, entertain my baby, put in makeup, etc while pumping.

In your experience, was a hands free nursing bra like the Medela bra necessary when pumping? Or could you just use a regular nursing bra and close it?
