@mediagirl: I have done it! You can try to poke them between the "popcorns" if you know what I mean, but you can also poke them straight into it, especially since it won't be heavy at all!

@regberadaisy: @Rosie Girl: it's just paper - a piece of 12x12 paper cut and twisted into designs. I have four of them I want to hang up. I was thinking about tacks but wonder if they would get through all the gunk that is on a popcorn ceiling. Sigh, popcorn ceilings - I shake my fist at you!!

@chopsuey119: ditto.
How heavy is it? Some of the hooks come with the butterfly for inside the drywall. But you won't be able to get the butterfly out in the future.

If the items are heavy, try using those hooks they sell at hardware stores? you can hammer/screw them into the ceilings.

probably not the safest, but tacks. If they are on string, tie the string around the tack and then tack them up

I have some decorations from my shower that I would like to hang from the ceiling in the nursery, over the changing table. Has anyone ever hung items from a popcorn ceiling? I'm trying to figure out the best way to do that.
