@Thehistoryofus: LOs start the chewing motion, they can crawl on their hands and knees, eat thicker solids with larger pieces, can pick up food with their thumb and forefinger!

i haven't given her puffs since the choking incident. I ate them all :P :)

I heard a few moms at daycare say they had to still break them in half for a while. Also, they said once their kids started getting the chewing idea down from chunks in the food, the puffs went down much better.

Just out of curiosity, what are the 4 requirements listed?

My son started eating puffs around 8 months. We buy the Plum Organics Super Puffs. They melt pretty easily. I'm assuming the Happy Baby ones do too. Mostly it is a practice thing. Every once in awhile Caleb sticks too many in his mouth at once and doesn't allow them to dissolve enough before trying to swallow and he chokes a bit.

When did you start giving your LO puff treats?
My 8 month old LO can do all 4 of the requirements listed on the packaging so I gave her a puff and she choked on it.

I'm a little traumatized from having to give her the Heimlich.
-.-
Is it just me, or are Happy Baby puffs kinda big?
