Today was LO's First Birthday and it was just wonderful. I stayed home from work to be with him and we just played at home (which was what I really wanted), ran a few errands for his party this weekend, and my husband and I just celebrated him. </p> <p>I had been very anxious about today, especially as I was anticipating some bittersweet emotions, but it was a special (and very happy!) day. Perhaps my mind switched over to looking at him as if was a bit bigger already, but I noticed a few new things today! At one point, while we were FaceTime-ing with some family, he stood up and helpd onto the toy basket (as he usually does). Then, all of a sudden, he let go and was standing completely on his own! For about 4 seconds! We were so excited for him!</p> <p>I'm so excited to see what this next year will bring for our LO. I am still in disbelief that our baby is now a one year old!!!! I remember sitting here, a year ago, reading HB from our hospital bed, wondering how the next hour/day/week/month would go. And here we are, with that precious and monumental year behind us now. </p>
