My dad grew up Jewish. He was an atheist by adulthood and we lived in more of a Xmas house ( though not the Jesus christmas but the Santa Xmas) but hannukah was always taken into small account as well. I'm continuing the trend with my son. He loves his dreidels and singing the hannukah songs.
