I think it's just a phase as well. Is there anything in his room (nightlight, monitor light, toy, etc.) that may be grabbing his attention and keeping him from falling back asleep?

I think it's just a phase. He's getting more and more aware of everything, so he's probably just investigating what he sees. If he's not crying, I would just give it a week and see if it passes.

My LO is 5 months old and goes down without much fuss. He would take anywhere from 5 to 20 mins to fall asleep. Lately if he wakes up in the middle of the night for a feeding he is having a hard time falling back asleep. He doesn't cry, he just lays in his bed and goes between trying to sleep (shakes his head back and forth) and playing with his blanket. Some nights it's taken him over 2 hours to fall back asleep! I feel so bad for him (and me because I can't peel my eyes off of the monitor until he sleeps!) what's going on? Is there anyway I can help him? Is it a phase? :(
