So much:(</p> <p> Someone posted on my local moms FB group that she was leaving their neighborhood for work this week and saw a woman yelling at a child in a stroller, then proceeding to take the child out and shake him. Yelling the whole time. She was horrified to think a mother would be treating her baby like that, and then she realized that the baby was her neighbor's child, and the woman was their nanny. I am not a judgemental person in general. In fact, if I catch myself judging someone, I try to think "what could they be going through that would cause them to ______" or something along those lines.</p> <p>But. I'm sitting in an airport restaurant and a couple with a little girl around the age of six or seven is sitting next to me. The poor girl's parents are being so mean to her! Not like yelling or anything obvious, but like scolding her for asking simple questions...her mother just said "if you don't stop talking, we will leave you at the airport and go without you". Then when she said she had to go to the bathroom, her mother said she'd have to wait until after they ate; she said she couldn't hold it and her mother said "of course you can't, you can't do anything that would be helpful to me". They have come back and both parents are literally ignoring her when she speaks to them. They aren't speaking to one another, just looking at their phones, so it's not like she's interrupting them and that's why they're not answering her. I want to cry for her!</p> <p>Not really any point to this post, but I just had to do something to stop myself from giving them the evil eye! I keep telling myself it's the cardinal rule of motherhood not to judge other mothers, and I really don't, but this is like child abuse! </p>
