@brownie: That does sound tough! We have been lucky that DS has no allergies or food sensitivities.

I think the hardest thing for me was figuring out what battles to pick with all of the time we spend at my in-law's home. They tend to do what they want with DS and I had a lot of anger and resentment toward them, but I have been learning to pick my battles, but also to stand my ground on the few things that I feel are the most important - his nap/sleep schedule, making them follow through when DS hits or bites, and not letting them give DS juice or junk food.

I guess so far it would be quitting breastfeeding my first child and taking medication for PPD. Both things I didn't want to do but did for my health and hers.

Not having dairy and soy for over 18 months now. I love cheese but I haven't had anything. Not cheating has been so hard but so worth it. We have trialed (with doctor permission) at least twice and both we have had unhappy reactions (not sleeping and obvious pain). He is just starting to talk and he spent 2 days saying "poop" and not being able to. Directly attributable to dairy consumption (by me).

The toughest decision I've had to make so far was deciding whether to quit or stay at my job. Not bc I loved my job or career or anything, but I wanted to make the best possible decision for L and I wasn't sure whether me being with her or providing for her financially would be best for her. Ultimately, I quit my job and it was the best decision I ever made.

What about you?
