@loveisstrange: we just bought frontiers for my 2.5 year old, who is 31lbs & 38". Love, love it so far. It is a really easy install and she seems to really like it. I got it on kohls.com with 30% off, 6% back on ebates and got $40 in kohls cash so it was a great deal. Amazon usually has them about 20% off.

@Mrs. Yoyo: I dont know what Im thinking? haha. I did read the Radian is technically a harness to booster. Honestly, the Frontier and the Recaro are the top contenders anyway.

@Emsmems: The Frontier is our front-runner, I think.

The Frontier will last you the longest by far! It will be the last seat you'll need to by as it'll get you through booster age. The Radian may not, as it's outgrown in booster mode the same time the harness is outgrown. The Frontier has the highest harness slots of all seats so you can harness her longest in that seat!

Are you talking about the Radian RXT? We have and like it as a convertible and if has allowed us to RF DS past 3, and it should be fine for awhile FF, but I'm pretty sure it I've read it isn't good as a booster.

The Frontier and Recaro are both great seats. Frontier has the highest limits and an easier install. The Recaro is comfier, people say.

Looking for some advice. We have a carseat that has been our backup in DHs car for the past year or so now. It was a buy we made out of desperation and lack of knowledge and it hasn't been a huge deal up until now because she rarely rode in it.

Now, DH has her an equal amount of time and she's getting close to outgrowing it. It only has a 40lb FFing weight limit and she's 31-2lbs and getting really tall for it. We're going to have to buy her a new seat for his car sooner rather than later. Her carseat in my car FFs harnessed until 70lbs, so we can go straight to a booster from it.

We're looking into harness to booster seats, so we dont have to buy her another one for his car after this one. We're considering the Britax Frontier 90, Recaro Performance Sport, and the Diono Radian. We're willing to spend $200ish dollars but definitely not too much more than $250.

Anyone have any experience with any of these seats? Any advice? She's 31ish lbs and 38" tall at 2.5 and we'd probably buy her this new seat closer to 3.
