But I was currently commuting by train and looking for a book to read and DH asked me to just read it. And I fell in love. I was lucky that all of the movies were out by the time I started so we would watch the movie after I finished each book. Although, it was years ago that I attempted to read them (I think I was around 11 or 12) I got halfway through the second book and just stopped reading.</p> <p>However, there is so much hype around them sometimes I feel like I missed out and should have given them more of a chance. I haven't read the entire series, I probably read the first book, but then after that it petered out. I agree with other posters the characters and storyline became more complex as the books continued on. I read almost all of them cover to cover the day/night they came out. I went to every midnight release for the books and movies. I completely geeked out at Universal on our honeymoon in the Harry Potter portion.
