We needed 4 tickets and got 3. Soooo nice of him! </p> <p>For me, I was grocery shopping and was finishing up my bagging. The lady behind me was checking out and said she left her wallet, if she could put the things aside and get them later. I said I'd pay for it. She made me feel really embarrassed because she was soooo extremely grateful. She wanted my address to pay me back. I wouldn't give it so she made me promise to go by saks where she worked so she could give me a lil something. I didn't go, but I did feel really good about helping her out. Luckily, it didn't come out to much haha. Upon getting in the massively long immigration line in Indonesia, a customs agent saw us and pulled out us out of line to go through the diplomatic line instead (no one in that queue, as opposed to hundreds of people in the normal queue). So immensely grateful, especially as our baby was completely overtired.</p> <p>2. Same thing upon arriving back in Australia. A border patrol agent came over to us and said we looked like we could use a break (we were exhausted after a full day of travelling and a very unpleasant experience with our airline) and pulled us out of line, opened up a new counter just for us, and then walked us through. Our tenant is a single mom who is a bit older than me and just had a baby. Father is out of the picture, and she's struggling. She asked if I had any extra clothes from DS that I could spare. I told her that we were saving for #2, and then secretly ordered a whole mess of clothes for her in the next 2 sizes that she'll need for the baby and had them delivered to her last week. There was a couple there with a 7-8 month old girl, and when they left the mom came over to chat with us for a bit. Talked childbirth, babies, that it was our first real time bringing him to a restaurant, etc. </p> <p>They left, and 15 or 20 minutes later DH and I asked for our check, only to be told that our meal had been paid for by the couple. Our furnace has been acting up the past few days so we finally had a service man come out and take a look. When I initially called to make the appointment they asked if today worked and I hesitated because I wasn't sure how much this was going to cost. I ended up making the appointment anyway and figured we would figure out how to pay for it one way or another. Well the guy came out, spent 30 minutes trying to figure out the issue and concluded it was just getting old but it would be ok until we could replace it in a few years. I thanked him and asked what I owed (I knew the service few but I double check always), and he said I owe nothing. I begged to pay him but he refused. I feel guilty he wouldn't accept anything but it amazes me the kindness of people's hearts. I can't wait to pass on an act of kindness, even if it's small!</p> <p>Has a stranger done anything nice for you lately? Or have you done anything nice for someone you didn't know? </p>
