I did to induce labor not to turn a baby, but nope it didn't work. It smells but it wasn't awful.

Yes. I was doing both moxa sticks and acupuncture to turn LO. I found that the moxa sticks did work. I live in a small apartment, and I did fine with them. It didn't smell like weed at all, and I never had to leave my apartment to do it.

In the end, LO still remained transverse due to my extremely large fibroid, but she did turn for awhile. I just thought I'd add that perspective.

I had a crunchy home birth midwife with my first baby and she didn't put any faith in moxibustion, in her experience most breech babies would turn in the same timeframe anyway. Personally, I'd do lots of crawling, swimming, maintain good posture while sitting and check out spinningbabies.com. Good luck getting baby to turn!

So I'm 34w3d with a breech baby, and I'm trying whatever I can to flip him (I'm literally typing this while lying upside down on an ironing board). I'm seeing a chiropractor and today saw an acupuncturist about moxibustion. She gave me the moxa sticks but told me that it's pretty smoky/smells like pot and "most people do it outside or in their garage." Except it's February in Canada and it's -8 so.....nope. I'm thinking it may be more trouble than it's worth, especially since I read a thing that it works for for 1 in 8. Does anybody have any firsthand experience?
