@lydg: Usually if I sleep without the preggy pillow my back hurts, and if I sleep with it, my hips hurt. I can't win!!

@JessLC: I have also heard amazing things about the Heavenly Bed! Thanks for the reminder.. we'll definitely check it out.

@LivsMama: This was why I wanted to consider the sleep number bed since I can change the setting post pregnancy if my comfort needs change. I am worried about finding something that my pregnant body likes, but that I might hate after the baby comes.

Have you tried a pregnancy pillow? I developed a hate relationship with my mattress when I got pregnant, but the pillow has helped a ton. I also put a featherbed mattress down on top of the mattress and covered that with a quilted feather mattress cover...heaven. :-)

We didn't but I highly recommend our mattress. It is the heavenly bed from the Westin hotels. I love it and sleep really really well on it.

YES! We bought a very expensive one when I was about 7 months along. It was amazing. And now I DEPISE it with a burning passion. Im willing to give it away and take the loss. Im sure Im probably one of the rare ones who regrets it, but if you are going to go for it, make sure its a mattress you would like now and after your pregnancy. My issue is that the memory foam is too soft. I LOVED our old bed, but it was a queen, and we got a king size. I should have bought the same one but in a larger size, but the guy talked me out of it since they didnt sell that brand. Damn pregnancy mind.

We just bought ours last month!

We knew going into our TTC journey that we needed a new mattress.

We researched for a few weeks on sleep number, tempurpedic, etc...

We ended up with a King Koil latex foam bed with adjustable/massage controls and we LOVE IT!!!! Haven't slept so well in ages :)

We did and I was sooo happy. It didn't take away all of my discomfort but it was much better than our old mattress. I think you should go for it. I don't think it will be a decision you regret.

I told my husband today I think we need to consider getting a new mattress. I have to move out to the couch at least twice a week in order to get comfortable. And even when I make it through the night in our bed I wake up with my back and hips hurting so bad. I know part of this is just being pregnant and it's not really the mattress' fault. But at the same time I've never loved this mattress. My husband bought it before we lived together and it's just too firm for my comfort. I told him we should consider the sleep number bed since we have such different ideas of what's comfortable. I hate to waste money if the issue really is just from the pregnancy but at the same time I can't see being so uncomfortable for another 5 months without trying to find a solution!
