We were able to convince our in-home to accept CDs by also explaining it's not much different than using a disposable - we'll send AIOs and a wet bag they can hang on their changing table, and plan to give them a roll of diaper liners once LO is on solids. We're the first for them so hopefully it will be as easy as we're advertising :)

We only looked at providers that would accept cloth so we didn't change their opinion but we did end up garnering a lot of attention and questions after DS started there. When we toured I always brought a cloth diaper or two to show them so they wouldn't be thinking of prefolds and pins. I'd recommend you also bring a wet bag to show them that they can just pop the soiled diaper into the bag and zip shut, no muss no fuss.

I am going to meet with the director of my work's childcare center today to show them my cloth diapers. They are BumGenius AIOs, but they were very apprehensive when I first asked saying they'd probably need a couple of training days on them. I don't think they realize how simple they are - I think they're thinking complicated pins and folds. They are open to talk to me, so that's a good sign! Our LO won't be there often, so I'm not sure if that will be a positive or negative for them.

Were you able to change your childcare provider's opinion about cloth diapers? Any info I should include that will help sway them? Wish me luck :)
