@simplyfelicity: Sorry for my delayed reply! I was typing a response then I fell asleep, and completely forgot about it! So far I really have only tried the Raw Meal Replacement by Garden Of Life. I've done a bit of googling and saw a few replacement suggestions, and this one is something I saw in Whole Foods and I bought it, and it is not bad. I like the chocolate the best but again I am a chocolate addict. I put half a banana and some blueberries in it and I only do 1 scoop for the morning. I only do my shakes with water and ice so maybe it'd taste better with almond milk... I just want to save those calories for something else ;-). I haven't tried any other brand! I have to say it didn't motivate me to drink it every morning, it tastes OK. I tried Raw Protein (instead of Raw Meal) chocolate flavor and I really didn't like that one. That one really made me deviate and not want to drink the shakes.

Maybe I'll just get me some shakeology and try it out too since everyone's been raving about the taste! I think you can get a deal if you really look around or order from a coach.... that's what I heard.

@Mrs D: I love almost all the workouts, which is a shocking thing to admit because I hate exercise. The yoga bored me to tears, I switch it out with the P90X3 yoga. Have you tried any of the new flavors?

Chocolate Shakeology is amazing...I have yet to find another shake that compares!

I love the 21df work...my faves were day 1,2 and Pilates. I love that it's a diff video each day!

The containers were great...super easy to manage! I started it and then found out I was preggo...but I'll be starting again (workouts and shakes - not restricted diet) in a few weeks at 6 weeks pp...once I stop nursing I'll do the full program...

My favorite shake is vanilla, frozen cherries, and a scoop of cocoa powder. Or chocolate with 1/2 a banana and pb2.

I've done piyo and about to start 21df. The shakes are great! Both the chocolate and vanilla are really tastey. I generally add some pb2 and almond milk, sometimes with a banana.

@irene: Thank you for all this info! What shake do you like? My sister suggested Vega one. Good for you for sticking to the plan and making it your own! Sounds like you have done a lot of hard work!

Yes I did since November last year, and am still doing it! And yes you WILL get results if you follow the program. I love the trainer Autumn, and it is important you like the trainer or you will turn it off if you know what I mean! I like they have a "modifier" who is a little bit chubbier / more relateable, and she will do modified poses that you can't do, so you can follow her. They also have a whole week of work outs, so you are not doing the same thing every day.

The things I don't like are, the tiny food containers are very discouraging to me personally. The calorie deficiency they suggested was also way too much for me to take. It got me in a very bad mood, and I would start taking it out on people around me! I just couldn't follow it, and I ended up finding ways around it. I also wish I know about Shakeology up front. It is very expensive, I just use an alternative protein powder.

What I ended up doing was, I followed the 21 day work out routine. After a lot of trial and error and reading up a lot of stuff on the internet, I realized 21 day fix is basically suggesting a 750 calorie deficit for your daily food intake. They suggested this because they want you to have dramatic results within 21 days. After being in hunger and bad mood for weeks, I thought to myself, I really don't need to get results within 21 days (3000 calories = 1 lb). I can get it within 21 weeks and I am happy. My husband got me a fitbit for Christmas, and I tracked my calorie burn and it lets me track my food to a 500 calorie deficit. I was a lot happier and everything is a lot more reasonable, and I lost weight. I am fitter than I have ever been in my whole life :-) For the shakes I use a cheaper protein shake alternative, and let me tell you, once you are on that thing your shape just change, so it is a must. It probably doesn't taste as good though.

Now that I basically already achieved my results, I am slipping on it - like maybe I only work out 4-5 days instead of 7 days in a week (but I only do the hardest work outs), and I do eat a bit more on the weekends, and I am really tired of drinking the shakes! I need to get back on it and have a bit more discipline and push myself more because keeping the figure is just as much work! I wish there were an "exit plan" they can propose as in, what do we do after the 21 days!

Meal-planning (again this is me doing my own thing, not following their containers): For breakfast I used to do a shake + half a banana + some blueberries. If I can't stand it I'll do a low calorie oatmeal plus half a banana. Mid-morning I may do a low-fat greek yogurt + some blueberries, or a babybel cheese + a plum (which I never liked), or celery with peanut butter (but limit the portion). Lunch I always do a protein with salad. I often do a smoked salmon (the lowest calorie I can find) and some salad, or I make my own egg salad with 1.5 hard boiled eggs, 1/4 avocado, a splash of lemon juice, a bit of salt and paprika, and I use lettuce leaves instead of bread. Afternoon snack I do 94% fat free popcorn, 100 calorie single serve, or a 90 calorie snack bar, or half a hard boil egg with some celery. Dinner is again a protein with some veggie and a little bit of brown rice. I don't add dressing at all so I can have an extra chocolate here and there :-) It is not too hard once you get a hang of it.

Things that I miss: Cheesecake, desserts, mocha, cocktails, bread (!!!), pasta, rice. sob sob.

Good luck! It's a pretty easy program to follow. I lost 20 pounds in 3 months, I did move on to P90X3 after the first couple months because I got bored. As for food, I hate really detailed meal plans so I just prep a bunch of fix approved foods on Sunday and make up meals as I go. Trader Joes chicken sausages, roasted veggies, some fix approved carbs like the Flat Out or whole grain waffles were good to have on hand. You got this!!

I'm on day 4 and I like it. I am not one to work out, but the workouts are bearable and not at all obnoxious. The eating plan isn't bad, just think baked/grilled meat, steamed veggies and whole wheat everything. @simplyfelicity:

I did for a couple of months before finding out I was pregnant. I loved it! I found the workouts doable and not too much or too boring. I also found it easier to just eat the same thing over and over until I got the hang of it. I'm actually starting Monday with the 3 day refresh (a different beach body item) and then will do the 21 day fix. I have the benefit of having my coach be one of my good friends at work.

Oh and the Shakeology shakes are really good. :)

My coworker did this but only lasted a week. She did loose 4 lbs the first week... she gained it all back when she quit.

She said it was pretty easy to follow but she lost motivation.

Even though I am 5 lbs under my pp weight, I still have a bit more I would like to lose (15 total would be AMAZING) and thought I might jumpstart that with 21df.

If you've done it, what were your results like? Do you have any advice or pointers? What was your strategy for easy meal planning? I have been searching online but there is so much info that it is a bit overwhelming.

Thanks!
