I've only bought ASOS maternity clothes, and based on their fit, would probably NOT order regular clothing...quality is fine in terms of material and construction, but the sizing is a bit off (I found it to be HUGE). I didn't think the cut was great either (i.e., none of my maternity tops were ruched, they were just like normal shirts that were a little extra long/loose). They have some very cute casual and inexpensive clothing, but I think getting a fit you are truly happy with might be difficult.

Like @Ree723, I'm international so it would cost me more to return than it did to buy the items in the first place. If you have free returns and the time to deal with returns, then I don't see why it wouldn't be worth a try! :)

I like H&M, but again with the fit...I find their items to actually run a bit small, and feel like I really need to try things on to decide whether or not I like them, and to see them in person to determine quality. H&M makes a bunch of different "lines"; some of them you really get what you pay for (ie thin cheap tshirts that stretch out of shape the second you put them on) and some are real bargains for the quality (I've bought some amazing party dresses there that whith a few alterations look fantastic and like I paid much more for them than I did). It sounds like you might be more of an online shopper than I am, and if that is the case I say go for it! My experience on H&M is that it tends to run a little small - perhaps it's UK sizes? For example, even though things say they are a "US 6", I wonder if they're cut more as a UK 6, because in most other brands I wear a 2 (which would make sense if it is UK sizing).

@sarac: Ah yes, I should have added that about returns. Because I'm international, I would have had to pay A LOT to return my swimming suit, which is why I didn't bother...

Yes, I have so much maternity clothing that I love from Asos. All of mine has been pretty decent quality - and returns are free, just a hassle.

Humph, I'm a bit grumpy with Asos! I bought a maternity tankini from them and am so disappointed with the quality!!! The cups on the top have one layer of very thin lining, which translates to zero support and is borderline see through, and the rest of the tankini top has NO lining whatsoever. Because it's a white and navy striped suit, when it gets wet, you can see right though it. Yes, it's just my belly, but I hate being able to see a belly button through a swimsuit and when you can see skin through the suit full stop! Fortunately, the bottoms are appropriately lined and actually fit well, but the rest of the suit, forget it.

Ok, I know you were asking about non-maternity clothes but I am so grumpy with them that I had to respond anyway! Hopefully their regular clothes are better quality!

When I get back to (or close enough to) pre-preg weight, I desperately need to update my wardrobe. I'm feeling like frump city these days!

I bought a few maternity items from Asos and wasn't super impressed, but I still love their clothes! What is the quality of their regular clothing like? And what about H&M? Now that they're online I was thinking about giving them a go as well.
