Anyone I've ever heard of having a "false positive" either saw it well after the time period or could have easily just had a chemical pregnancy.</p> <p>I got my BFP and then got my period (late) a few days later. If it's anything past the time period on the box, it's not a positive. After the time period (10 minutes or whatever), throw it away and don't dig it out of the trash and get all excited! It was a cheap test that I took, it was clearly negative so I threw it in the trash but about an hour later I saw that it was a faint positive. So weird. I left it on the bathroom counter, and when I came back an hour later it was positive! My husband said I probably just let it sit too long. Went and got a digital and it said right away "Not Pregnant."
