Happens once every year and a half to two years. I have to have it redipped in the white gold.<br /> What happens is the white gold wears down and then there is lesser quality gold underneath. Dermatologist mentioned he sees it often because soap remains after washing your hands. He said rinse and dry well. Mine kind of has holes on the underside that go through to the diamonds, and I think some yucky soap/lotion/baby poop/who knows stuff got really stuck up in there. It hurts so much that I can't wear my ring anymore. I'm guessing cleaner got underneath. Has anyone had this happen? How did it resolve? I haven't worn my ring for a week so it looked like it was going away...but nope, I put it on again last night before bed and it happened again. I've soaked the ring in jewelry cleaner and then in water. Still, no luck! </p>
