I have found I have hurt myself a few times when I suddenly put my hands above my head (like when I was throwing my towel over the door, as you do). </p> <p>I know its ligament pain but it makes me very tentative in my movements. </p> <p>I suppose it might find its background in that? An elderly gentleman ran over and told me to stop and he would grab whatever I needed. He lectured me about not lifting my hands over my head during pregnancy because it might cause fetal distress and miscarriage. </p> <p>My mom has told me this before but I have never heard anyone else mention it! </p>
