I am 5 months post hysterectomy and it was by far one of the best decisions I ever made. I healed beautifully. I've been on hormone replacement therapy since I came out of surgery. My moods are finally even. I have no pain, no periods, no worry about pregnancy. There’s a lot of groups on Reddit about hysterectomies/endo/fibroids that I’ve found helpful and full of lots of stories. If so, why? I’m considering it to prevent uterine and ovarian cancer (I would also have my ovaries removed) and to finally get rid of my endometriosis. </p>
