The only thing I did the summer before college was brush up on reading and writing in Spanish to test out of having to take it in college. It all comes back to him once he has someone to speak to, so I figure he can teach both LO and I. My husband is a total nerd who learned espanol in high school &amp; college and then went to live in Spain for a year. But we butt heads because he speaks Castillian Spanish which sounds very weird to me. Several years ago I got on this Spanish kick to finally try to realize my goal of speaking conversationally: I took a conversational class after that was over I hired a personal tutor. I took Spanish for 7 years in school and tested out of it for college. Although I am familiar with the language I am horrible at pronounciation and would still need a dictionary to help me get through a news article. </p> <p>How long did it take for you to learn a language using Rosetta Stone? </p>
