We rented a car from Budget last night and I added a car seat as an extra. :T I'm gonna take some blankets in case the seat isn't as cushy as ours.<br /> Renting the seat costs $26. One advantage to bringing your own is that you know how to adjust the straps (we have an Evenflo Triumph). Or just use jumper cables to piggyback it onto your rolling luggage. Then check it in. It was clean but a really crappy carseat. We had to install it ourselves and and it was a huge pain in the behind to do so. There was barely any padding to the seat and it didn't recline very far at all so our baby's head lurched forward anytime he drifted to sleep. He looked so uncomfortable. We rented from Dollar and it was a Cosco seat.
