I continued to bleed for a few more weeks and then I had to have a D&amp;C. But I had a bunch of fibroids that they think were prolonging it (had bled for over 4 weeks) so my case was not typical at all. Had I known all of that would happen, I would have gone right for the D&amp;C. But of course we didn't know at the time...I think it works OK for most people. I bled not too heavily after the initial 48 hrs for about a week. I had an ultrasound to confirm that everything looked as it should and got my first AF in October. I didn't new a D&amp;C but I did have to go back to the OB several times for ongoing spotting, ultrasounds and blood work. The OB recommended taking it vaginally to decrease some of the GI upset risk. Did it work for you or did you still need a D&amp;C? </p>
