No but I used it in mashed potatoes with good results last night.

That said I don't drink smoothies 😂

I tried it once because I had leftover cauliflower and I was not a fan. Weird texture and flavor. But I don't like kale in smoothies either. I think the occasional handful of spinach might be my limit.

I feel like there's no way it would taste good (and I'm a vegan who puts weird shit in my smoothies). ;)

Avocado is a good replacement, but not sure where that stacks up on a nutrient level.

@autumnleaves: makes sense then, to use cauliflower instead of banana, if you're cutting sugars. I do think I would at least steam it though.

@erinbaderin: I read that it makes the smoothies creamier with less sugar and then there's the nutrients. One post I saw recommended using the riced cauliflower over the florets for the best texture.
@looch: https://www.eatingbirdfood.com/malted-chocolate-cauliflower-smoothie/ said 1 banana is 15 g of sugar vs 1 cup of cauliflower is 2 grams.

I've added cauliflower to pasta sauce for more veggies and found it added nothing to the flavour.. so maybe it would be similar in a smoothie? More veggies but no added flavour?

There's a smoothie chain up here that has a cauliflower smoothie - kale-abunga. Kale, spinach, cauliflower, peaches, mango, apple and tropical juices. It's really yummy. Not sure if the health benefits other than being low carb, and I know the smoothie itself isn't as healthy as they pretend it is, but it's yummy!

Maybe if it were cooked, that would make sense to me at least. I use silken tofu instead of yogurt and bananas in mine.

What is the sugar content of cauliflower, is it much less than banana? I find that when I am trying to lose weight, if I eat too much fruit, I lose much less than when I keep it to 2 pieces per day.

....but why? For texture? To increase your vegetable intake? I don't really understand why you would put cauliflower in a smoothie but I imagine it would give it a weird texture.

I've seen a few blog posts suggesting cauliflower is the new banana for smoothies. Has anyone tried it? What is your favorite smoothie recipe with cauliflower? I am have a bag of riced cauliflower and am thinking of trying it in a smoothie.
