I found it useful to have a virtual proportionate layout of the room. I didn’t love all of the Modsy team’s suggestions for what to put in the room, but once your room is ready, you can swap out anything they have put in there. So for example, I was between two sizes of area rugs, and was able to load a rug in both sizes to my room and got a sense of the proportions. </p> <p>I didn’t love that their item inventory was a little limited, so - using the rug example - I wanted to see a dark blue vs light blue rug, I had limited options to find those. So for my purposes, I tried to use Modsy for scale and item placement, but built room vision boards on Polyvore to see how the items I was debating “looked” together.
