We have the snug a bunny and never had a problem with it. DD wouldn't go in it after 6 months though. Prior to that, she would take naps in there.

@sorrycharlie: Hope your LO likes it. While it did have a somewhat limited lifespan (I'd say we were done with it by around 4 months) it was a lifesaver up until then.

I don't have a swing but the daycare has both of those and they have told me that my LO doesn't like the Bright Starts one at all!! But she'll stay in the snugabunny one all day if they let her.

@LivsMama: yeah I could NOT figure out the recline in the store!! I probably looked foolish. The one at target does plug-in, though, which is nice. But I think the difficulty with the recline and the sad little mobile did the swing in for me :(

@Mrs. Yoyo: good to know! I just "snuck" onto my registry and swapped them out. My mom's going to kill me..she said I'm not allowed to look. oh well! :)

We also have the Bright Starts and have a lot of the same comments as @LivsMama: .
The base is HUGE!!! So if you don't have a lot of real estate I would caution against this one. My LO is 6weeks old and every now and then she'll sit in it for 5-10 minutes. Napped in it twice. But I don't think she's much of a swing/bouncer liker.

I too wish it reclined more. I would give it 3.5 out of 5 stars!

I had the Snug-a-Bunny. Never had any issues with it whatsoever; great swing.

I have the BrightStarts one and can tell you that it does NOT plug in, it runs on batteries. Liv was not a fan. I dont know if it was just that swing or if she would have hated swings in general (she rarely even liked her bouncy seat) but aside from that its a great swing. One word of caution, once those little hands can grab things, the mobile pulls off very easily. Its only held on by a ball and ribbon (kind of like the pull string on a ceiling fan) so one tug brings it down. The recline feature is kind of laughable. It moves maybe an inch down or up. Plus the base is humungous, it takes up a lot of room. It does rotate which is nice, and there are a ton of different speed, volume, and swing height settings. I just wish she'd liked ANY swing lol

So I guess overall, Im not a huge fan. If we have another, I will be buying the snug a bunny.

I'm debating between that swing (at target - http://www.target.com/p/ingenuity-cradle-sway-swing/-/A-13946307 ) and the fisher price snug-a-bunny.

they both plug in, rotate, play music. only difference that I can see is that the snug-a-bunny has a mirror & motorized mobile, whereas the bright starts doesn't (has a mobile, but just turtles).

any input? the reviews on the snug-a-bunny have a lot of people complaining of short life on the motor.
