@Canoli: are they bothering him? If not, I would leave them alone. If they are itchy you can get eye drops to help with that (that's what our ped suggested when DS had one)

Just don't pop it, whatever you do. When you are doing the warm compresses, make sure you don't accidentally pop it either.

I got a tiny sty about a month after having LO, and since I'd never had it before, I messed with it and it popped and "went away", except I didn't realize that when it pops, the gunk oozes all over your eye and spreads the infection--I ended up with 3 much bigger styes that took MONTHS to go completely away. It was awful.

I had to go to the doctor several times, and the advice was always the same--wash eyelids with baby shampoo twice a day (go ahead and do both eyelids to discourage spreading); warm not hot compresses twice a day for 10 minutes, and keep your hands away from it.

I've had them. They eventually work out, even though they're annoying. I wouldn't bother with the compresses if he's not complaining about the sty.

My 3.5 year old has what appears to be 2 small stys in his lower eyelid. We are trying to do warm compresses frequently but he is not exactly the best patient so his tolerance for it is low. Just wondering if anyone has had this experience and what did you do?
